Discovery Fusion BBQ is a fantastic spot with a fun and lively ambiance that makes dining here a great experience. One of the highlights is their live karaoke entertainment, which adds a unique and exciting vibe to the evening--it's so much fun watching or even joining in! They also have some really interesting and unique drink options that are worth trying--definitely something new and refreshing! The food is very tasty, with lots of flavorful options that never disappoint. My kids absolutely love coming here, which makes it a win for family outings. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that while everything is great, there's just a little room for improvement in terms of wait times during busy hours. But overall, it's a solid choice for a fun and delicious meal with entertainment, and we'll definitely keep coming back!

Open karaoke? Serves yummy food till late? My favorite spot in San Jose! The drinks are great and deserts are so creative! They even have fun drinking games to play with friends! Definitely a must come back type of joint!

Definitely a place to go for the aesthetics instagram pics -- LED signs everywhere. There's also fake fire pits too. Huge variety of skewers, including yummy tofu and mushrooms and lamb. Also has chicken heart and some other good old basics. They had a fun Russian roulette inspired drink set where there are 12 mysterious small bottles with unknown liquids inside. Parking can be a little crazy because it's located right next to a H Mart.

One of the most authentic Chinese bbq skewers place in the Bay Area! The decor, neon lighting and atmosphere immediately transports you to an asian night market in China. The menu is extensive and has all kinds of seafood, meat and vegetable options! Ordering on the QR code is super convenient and the service was amazing, our server was quick to change out plates and refill our water and napkins. Our favorites were the grilled lamb, beef steak, mini lobster tails and grilled scallop with vermicelli. We also got the 12 bottle alcohol mystery/blind box -- such a fun challenge and perfect for a night out!

Fair warning, the seasoning is salty, so get some carbs and cold appetizers too! Skewers: -Lamb skewers + beef skewers: 10/10. DON'T get the mini skewers, meat is tiny on those. Pay the $3 for the big, thick skewer -Chicken wing skewer: 9/10. -Chicken skin skewer: 10/10. SO CRUNCHY!! Like a chip -Pork belly skewer: 5/10. Hit or miss, first time was amazing and juicy. Second time was tough -Eel skewer: 1/10. Only thing I didn't like, it tasted muddy? -Sesame biscuit skewer: 10/10. Shao bing, my favorite -BBQ chives skewer: 8/10. Good veggie to break up the taste -King oyster mushroom skewer: 9/10. -Duck intestines small skewers: 6/10. Good flavor and crunchy, but nothing special -Lotus root slices skewer: 8/10. Love the crunch Appetizers/shared dishes: -Iron plate squid: 9/10. SO tender and flavorful -Yellow croaker cold salad (from most popular dishes, not the skewer): 10/10. Beautiful blend of complex vinegar sauce, so refreshing -Shredded potato salad (most popular dishes): 9/10. Fried thinly sliced potato strips mixed with spring onions and onion in light vinegar sauce. -Fry river shrimp with salted egg: 10/10. So crunchy and light, amazing salted yolk flavor -BBQ whole eggplant: 10/10. I always get this at shaokao -Cucumber with garlic sauce: 7/10. A bit too sweet than I'm used to, but very refreshing Street fried food: -Chicken crispy bone: 7/10. Trendy in China, not sure why. tastes like regular chicken skewer Dessert: -Fried milk (curds): 8/10. Good dessert, fun texture Drinks: -Suan Mei tang (smoked plum juice): 10/10. I always get this at Chinese restaurants when they have it, it's like the liquid version of the smoked plum candy. Not everyone's cup of tea but I love it -We tried a few of their fruit alcohol drinks and they were all great, along with the beer

Discovery Fusion is so fun, they definitely stand out compared to other nearby options as they have karaoke at night which makes it so lively on top of the bright neon lights in here. This place is perfect if you're coming in larger groups and want to eat, drink, and/or sing. I love that they're open late too as skewers are a perfect late night snack since it's so light but also filling enough for dinner if you order dishes too. Some of my favorites here are the Beef, Tofu, A Choy, and Scallop Vermicelli. The skewers all have the same seasonings but the juiciness from the meat is what makes them all taste slightly different. I've been to many different Chinese skewer places around and I'd say Discovery probably wins #1 for decoration. I think I've gotten seated immediately both times that I've been here on a weekend as there's plenty of seating but I could imagine it gets busy during prime time. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to try as the aesthetic, food, and even drinks are all great.

We came with a party of 4 on a Thursday night and the place was pretty filled. There were luckily a few empty tables so we were seated quickly but those empty tables filled up fast. I was so excited to eat that I forgot to take pics of everything. I've had a favorite skewer bar for a decade now and so I was shocked to find that Discovery Fusion BBQ has the same flavor profile as my favorite skewers place. I loved being able to order from my phone because ordering skewers with a server is so stressful to keep track of lol Every skewer was delicious!! We also ordered some side dishes which are not offered at other places. Definitely recommend the fried milk, mini japanese sweet potatoes, and garlic eggplant. The food came out very fast and service was so attentive. I think they came with a new water carafe like 3 times without us asking. They have a karaoke section but I think it's not open to patrons. It seems like they hire someone to sing and charge patrons a couple dollars extra if there's a performer that day. Not too sure how it works but I'm intrigued to find out. Definitely recommend this place!

If you're a bigger party then make a reservation! My group of 12-13 people made a reservation a few days before and got promptly seated upon arrival. The inside is interesting - the neon lights and karaoke set up in the back of the restaurant makes you wonder what you walked into. Located in a parking lot with H Mart and 85 Degree Bakery, parking is abundant due to turnover on the market side. You scan the QR code at the table and do all your ordering there. The items come out quickly and are seasoned fairly well. As someone who was craving skewers, this place hit the spot. And if you're worried about not being full on skewers, they also have other foods available like fried rice and grilled squid. Maybe it was because we beat the rush, but service was on point and bright the food out in a timely manner.
